Scope & Content This is a collection of printing samples from the Lamson Advertising Service, 64 Hanover Street, Manchester, New Hampshire. It includes letters and bill heads from 100 business in Manchester, 1922-1959, and multigraphed form letters produced by Lamson Advertising Service. There is also one copy of the "Atlantic Fisherman," January 1943, that was published by Lamson.
Admin/Biographical History The Lamson Advertising Service began in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and moved to Manchester, N.H. in 1922 at 64 Hanover Street. It then moved to Goffstown, N.H. in 1926. The "Atlantic Fisherman, a trade magazine for the commercial fishing industry, was purchased by Lamson in 1929. It was printed by Lew A. Cummings Co., at 92 West Central Street, Manchester, New Hampshire, from 1925 to 1960.
